Naturally Collapsing

another generation lifted with hope
painting new murals of clouds raining on us
fair to all
planting organic and yelling out of love fashioned by hate
those rules don't fit us anymore
striping myself down by light
for the planet for the farmer for the food
i'll work with worth
not necessarily keeping step with order
of a hand shake or contract
finger guide and partner for now
texture for music and business on site
available to us daily.

across calendar days and Jefferson's ways
you may sift a word into a screen and then wait for your dream
new reason in freedom
blowing in the arts on bare breath and hair
i'll catch San Francisco's Golden Gate fair
since
congress is late with yesterday's date
collapsing by telephone, the cell is gone
ringing out another wet flood by street, a bucket
handed down consuming each fellow being,
stay with me. play with me. rattle and roll with me.

ADAPTATION

absorbed in the glory of wind
yard after yard of all that is planted
should the sensations of change be toppled out of reach
by fence or gate
of taller season's the rain would run
blending my skin and the sky's screen into one
only untouchable things of the world
were weathered with salt
standing on the bottom of the sea bed
light gave me air
gave us nothing less than power and steam
i've changed with the hour
my shoes
and taste for mushrooms
on another plate with sauce
humidity is measured by the potency of moisture
and temperature has left my skin of body asleep
waiting to be turned over
elongated by spine and foot
stepping into the future
with screen in hand and mind a float

The Snail

the snail having time
along and along with shell and air
so slow,
having touched so much
shadow
and rain falling from above her pain
a reflection
of time
absorbed in a minute
of speed
no one may lead
or follow
snail.
where moisture is deepest
snail has traveled
in spring
winter soaked
her shoulders came out to play
on with time
turn away.

The Day Night

rose around my feet like waters on the street
climbed my dress with feverish scent
pulled my hair just to show
the hour was not mine, i let go.

clear as night leans into stars
between sleeves, rung a line of tongue
i strung to tether the thought with bow and arrow
please take your time
for morning
mist and afternoon silence
follow me into the night of day
weathering a thirst for today.

the mind body

WATER

when it rains
emerald discovers the land
the soil is scented with flowering eyes
turn where you can will a leap forward
reach out to the wind with hand and face
fellowship of friends gather in collection
go forth with new discoveries of insect color
wet in laughter on the border
honeymooners go forth from underground
drive with care
a lively bottle standing
earth is stretching
promise to mend the mud and rescue the floating
rich lend
fresh green with life
newly risen seed
plant in staircases of depression
build beside the old reflection of trees standing tall
from cloud carrying gifts of mirror and moisture
unit the weather with footsteps
drenched in love
the body is saved

A Corrupt Time

public diplomacy considers peace
negotiable
with contention backed
day after day the legs of my seat
are supported by chair
where
is the protection of our social security
bundled in credit and someone's dream
a good neighbor was frisked in the day
to hold the essence of time
in a tulip
people find more respect
in the secrecy of their thoughts
everyone hopes the government would
find peace

Hang Out

the bell fell down

came crashing to earth seconds after
i passed on
a huge thing
having absorbed all these visions
cast in bronze and words of tone
insurance surely
ringing in silence
smothered by a lambs conversation
put out to vibrate
premature seedling sitting above the soil
turning
the hair on arm pink in reflection
watch with snail speed
and silence from counterparts
lead my tears under my adrenal glands
feeding gravity with blood lines
strangely in comfort with ease
safety has been pounced by tongue and cheek.

waiting for visitor's with umbrella in hand
and soaked to the skin
with applications for tomorrow
not clapping or yelling
crackling,
meditation circling
news ignite.

EVERYWHERE

walking on point and assailed by butterflies
to hand and foot a folded bill
caught in the sunlight
this time was for me to see
each moment threads each secret to life
found
lost
scattered feelings gathered by wind
and settled by dreams
blue one's with propitious wings
and landing on knee
throw your hair
join and rise and rise again
the dish is delightful
taste liberation

Weather and Land

the poet's death is her life
she has torn the blood free from her flesh
of mind,
only another can touch the character in deed
this height by volume has no cord
of the sky
i have fallen with tear
disposed of any possibility for union
touching lightly is of no measure
the usual things remark in response to rain
the day after
quite hope
leaking a faithful love of her landscape
land standing soul wet
washed over bodies who've died on course
incapable of large design
and factual truth
her gowns have no length and bare vines
hand apart
bound with briers in lap
who pronounces the world
again,
a holy place.
